I did the entire install of 38GB in less than 5 minutes (copied the DVDs to my Laptops NVMe and installed from there) - I doubt if that can be done "faster" (quicker) over the internet than from DVD or Disk - probably if you have a very old Laptop vs a 1Gbps internet link. You can enable or disable auto-update for the game and update immediately if you want or defer and update later at your leisure. :) For all the "experienced" game downloaders out there that has been downloading games for many years who told me that one cannot install these games from Disk, some news for you: Once the F1 2019 game launched on Steam today it allowed me to install from Disk (4 x DVDs) immediately, without having to downloading any of the 24GB update, so it is very possible to install from Disk first and to immediately play the game "as is" without having to downloaded any updates and patches first. Update: So I almost wasted some good money on data with my capped LTE internet connection.
